Alta Cavagrande del fiume Cassibile

Famosa per i tanto rinomati “laghetti di Cavagrande” posti più a est, questa riserva nasconde molti altri scorci nascosti e di incredibile bellezza che vi faremo scoprire. Vi guideremo lungo i sentieri della più grande e incredibile delle cave iblee. Vedremo paesaggi mozzafiato a strapiombo tra le pareti rocciose dell’alta Cavagrande scavate dall’erosione del fiume Cassibile nei milioni di anni. Lì dove la natura mostra il suo carattere più forte e primitivo immersa in una una nicchia ecologica ricchissima. La vegetazione lussureggiante in questi luoghi si intreccia a stretto contatto con la storia dell’uomo. Attraverseremo boschi di faggio per poi raggiungere e bagnarci nelle acque del fiume Cassibile. Per chi in passato ha visitato già parte della riserva vi preannunciamo che Il sentiero non è quello dei famosi “Laghetti di Cavagrande” ma uno molto simile e altrettanto ricco di bellezza.

PONDS, CANYON, DIERI, AND THE CASSIBLE RIVER.

Cavagrande of Cassibile river Famous for the  “Cavagrande ponds” further east, this reserve hides many other incredibly beautiful places that we will let you discover. We will guide you along the paths of the largest and most incredible  iblean Canyon. We will see breathtaking landscapes overlooking the rocky walls of the high Cavagrande carved by the erosion of the Cassibile river over millions of years. There where nature shows its strongest and most primitive character immersed in a very rich ecological niche. The lush vegetation in these places is closely intertwined with the history of man. We will cross oak forests and then reach the waters of the Cassibile river. For those who have already visited part of the reserve in the past, we predict that the path is not that of the famous “Laghetti di Cavagrande” but one very similar and equally rich in beauty.
